Best Buddies Day: A Recap
- May 5, 2008

We have the best employees on the planet! About 40 of them teamed up with the 17 students from Kearns High School in Salt Lake City to host them for the day. They met outside our headquarters with a rousing ovation as they got off of their bus and had pictures taken with our employees, myself and Leo the Lion (mascot for XanGo’s own Real Salt Lake major league soccer team). What a great way for our employees to be a part of the XanGo Goodness movement!
The kids were elated to have their pictures taken with Leo the Lion, and then he arm wrestled with a bunch of the boys, letting the students win (and celebrate) every time. From that welcome, our staff hosted them at their desks to show them some of the workings of our billion-dollar brand. Shortly after, a pizza party and a movie followed at the XanGo Mammoth Screen Theater.
The school bus driver told me that, in 33 years of driving school children, he has never been moved by an experience like he witnessed today with the reception our employees gave these students. He thanked us over and over for giving them a day they will never forget. We were also lucky to have a couple of wonderful XanGo distributors drop in for the activity—200K Carolyn Johnson and 100K John Zenes—timing their visits to the office perfectly so that they were able to observe the morning’s activities. Both made comments about how moved they were by the sight of our employees with their Buddies. Because of the success of individuals like them, and many other distributor leaders, we can have a profound impact on children’s lives. To all of you distributors, our staff and their buddies say, “Thank you!”
